What camping trailer can I tow with a Honda Element?

A very small one.

You need to read your owners manual and determine the towing capacity of your vehicle. Then look at the hitch, it should have a label stating the maximum tounge weight and towing capacity. Your vehicle MAY be capabile of towing more than your hitch. Don’t tow more than the hitch states. If there isn’t a label on the hitch, one is required by law, find out from the hitch manufacturer what the maximums are and don’t exceed them.

Now that you are armed with information on what your vehicle is capable of doing, you need to visit many camper dealerships. Go to lot’s of RV/camping shows and see what’s available. There are many small fold down camper manufacturers out there. Most have reliable information for you to study. You need to find the maximum weight of any trailer you are considering of purchasing. Many salesman are like used car salesmen, they will tell you anything you want to hear. Don’t let them sell you something that would be dangerous to tow down the road.

Companies to look at: A-Liner, Coleman, Jayco, Fleetwood (May be same as Coleman), Starcraft. All these companys make small towable camper packages.
