indeed elementownersclub.com is a good resource, im a member of the crv owners club and superhonda, one thing i can say is if its the AWD you need to change the rear differential fluid every 30 thousand miles at least, other then that hondas are great, and congratulations on the buy.
I have a 2004 honda element, with about 62000 miles on it.
I LOVE IT!
I’ve never had ONE problem with it….
The things I would change would be:
The column in between the windshield and the door, is very wide, sometimes causing a blind spot.
The sun visor, when turned against the window (to block the sun from the side) rattles against the window…. it needs to be tighter to where it will stay put.
There needs to be a console in the middle, rather than cup holders. I found one on ebay several years ago, and i’ve used it ever since. it was specifically made for elements, and also serves as an arm rest (since i had to remove mine in order for the console to fit properly)
You can’t beat the room… lifting those 2 back seats up against the window, you will now have room for just about anything.
I’ve put plywood, bikes, and just about everything else in it.
The floor seats are waterproof.
I could take a hose and wash it out if I wanted to.
Their are very unique accessories for it.
If you go camping, you can get a tent/canopy for it, as well as curtains for the windows.
All 4 seats will fold ALL the way back and touch one another, making a double bed. May not be the most comfortable, but hey, it’s a place to lay your head if you need it.
It get’s great gas mileage, compared to other vehicles it’s size.
Mine is black, all painted… no plastic sides, running boards, spoiler and bumper trim (all factory), as well as chrome wheels.

dont own one but i own a Honda Ridgeline, heres a sister site of the Ridgeline forum
