Are Honda TRX250EX’s Good ATV’s?
I want to get one but I don’t know much about them. Do they go fast? What parts could you upgrade on it for better performance? Are they okay for a teen? Any input would help.

A 250ex is an ok bike. It’s just a Honda Recon with nice shocks. You can get a performance pipe and jet kit but by the time you do that you could have bought a better sport ATV for the money. Just don’t buy a Chinese ATV.
They’re a great quad to start on - decent power and good suspension - fun!
Also look at the new Yamaha Raptor 250 and the Suzuki 250.
All three are very good machines - the Yamaha is the lightest and fastest, the Honda has the most mods available.
All three are fast enough and have good enough suspension for any beginning to intermediate rider - the Raptor 250 is even good enough to easily take out on the MX track.
great starter quad. very low maintenance. they run 48 to 52 mph. will be fine for a teen. if your teen has much experience he may want a 300EX but they have a manual clutch. pro circuit has a very nice exhaust for the 250EX.
sure top brands like honda,kawasaki,suzuki,yamaha and others all make good atvs. stay away from those off brand atvs,they break easly and parts are extreamly hard to find.
